YOM HASHOAH EVENTS

• 4/21 10:00 am-4:00 pm Reading of the names of the victims of the Holocaust on the steps of the Chapel and the steps of Jewett. Simultaneously the Chair Project will be going on on the Jewett Art Center Steps. If you are interested in reading, please contact Patti Sheinman, psheinma@wellesley.edu. 
   
• 4/21 12:30 - 1:15 A prayer service will be held in the Hillel Lounge and will be led by Professor Larry Rosenwald. A light lunch will be served. 
   
• 4/22 7:30 pm "The Unveiling of the Chair: A communal response and exhibition on overcoming intolerance." This event will be held in the Houghton Chapel and will include speaches by President Bottomly and Dean DeMeis. 
   
• 4/23 7:00 A screening of The Pianist will be held in PNW 212 and following the movie, a discussion in the Pendleton Atrium will be led by Jessica Kate Meyer '96 who starred in the film.

MONDAY NIGHT BEIT MIDRASH

• 4/27 "A Pillar of Salt: Jewish Tunisian Perspectives on Exile." This discussion will be led by Alma Heckman '09 and will be held in the Hillel Lounge.

• Saturday February 28th: Jewish Men’s Panel: Not for the timid: a light hearted discussion of life as a Jewish Man

• Monday March 2nd: Beit Midrash: Professor Jonathan Imber will be leading a session entitled “Is There A Jewish Medical Ethics?”

  AFRO-SEMANTIC EXPERIENCE: MARCH 7

  

  The Afro-Semitic Experience is a band beyond category - they play spiritual world beat, funk, jazz, cantorial, gospel, salsa, swing ... soul driven music. Their concerts are celebrations of great music, stories, and offer a positive and meaningful message: Unity in the Community.
