Education as a Spiritual Journey
"This afternoon in words spoken, sung, danced and played, we invite you to take part in multi-faith community celebration at Wellesley College. This afternoon's service reflects a new form of multi-religious understanding and ways in which ritual might be offered in a pluralistic learning community.
In this service, as in all our programs, each of the many religious and spiritual traditions represented here is encouraged to speak in its own voice, to tell its own story using words, music, dance, and song from its own tradition. As opposed to interfaith work which seeks to find a common language that does not offend, it is our belief that by bringing the unique language and stories of our traditions to one another, we will in fact encounter something far greater than any one of us can imagine and which will move us towards the creating of a common life."
