Erin Doherty

Erin Doherty
Area Coordinator of Stone/Davis Hall

Area Coordinator Erin Doherty started at Wellesley in the fall of 2002 as the resident director for Freeman Hall. After five great years in Freeman, she became the RD for Dower House and all of the small halls including the language houses, co-ops, and Davis Scholars. In the fall of 2009, Erin became an area coordinator overseeing Stone and Davis Halls, Dower House, Orchard Apartments, and the French House.

Erin graduated from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, N.H., with a BA in psychology. She served as a resident advisor there for two years which sparked her interest in working in student affairs. Erin completed her M.Ed. in counseling in May 2006.

Prior to joining the Wellesley community, Erin worked in higher education as a resident director at Notre Dame College and Endicott College. She also worked for the Massachusetts Department of Social Services in the Adolescent Outreach Program as a case worker and then as the department’s youth development specialist.

Erin enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, scrap-booking, photography, going to the movies, and spending time with family and friends. Erin and her three young children enjoy living on campus and being part of the Wellesley College community.  Hall traditions, Marathon Monday, and playing near the lake are some of her favorite things about Wellesley. The children most enjoy the ducks and swans on Lake Waban and meeting many dogs (and their owners) as they take their daily walks around campus.
