Paula Queenan
Area Coordinator of Pomer
During her tenure at Wellesley, Area Coordinator Paula Queenan once served as coordinator of the First Year Mentor Program. She holds an Ed.D. in psychological education from UMASS Amherst.
Prior to joining the Wellesley community, Paula was the director of alumni affairs at the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore. Aside from her work, Paula enjoys writing and raising her daughter, Helen (pictured).
When asked what advice she would give a first-year entering Wellesley she says, “Come ready to learn, enjoy, and fully participate in one of the most wonderfully challenging times of your life. Bring only two things: courage and an open mind. Bring courage to take risks, trust yourself, and feel deserving of the regard and camaraderie that awaits you. Bring an open mind in order to appreciate the experiences and opportunities unique to this diverse, welcoming community that is Wellesley College.”
