Summer Language Study in Hindi and Urdu

We call attention to varied summer opportunities to begin or pursue further language study in Hindi and/or Urdu. A limited number of “Critical Language Scholarships” are offered for intensive summer study of selective languages in India, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Applications are handled through the American Institute of Indian Studies (AIIS), which also features additional spots without scholarships. Wellesley College has some limited funds to support summer foreign language study. Applications are available through the Mayling Soong Committee.
