Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI)

Training is an important part of our Human Subjects in Research program at Wellesley College, and we are pleased to offer a convenient, customized online training program through the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI).

Wellesley College requires all investigators (faculty, students, and postdoctoral fellows) engaged in research with human subjects to complete the Human Subjects Research training through the CITI program before their IRB applications will be reviewed.

Choose the training that best describes the type of research you do (Social & Behavioral, Existing Data or Specimens, or Biomedical), as well as any of the Special Topics that apply to your research.

This training will cover a period of three years from the date of completion, after which time those faculty, students, and postdoctoral fellows still engaged in human subjects research must complete the Refresher Training course, also offered through the CITI program.

Access the CITI training site.

See instructions for completing the CITI training process.

***Important: When setting up your CITI account, be sure to affiliate yourself with Wellesley College (even though Brandeis University reviews our IRB protocols).
