Join us on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. for a conference specifically for First-Year students around the theme of leadership and focused on growing as individual leaders, expanding skills in working with others, and exploring how to build connections with a mission or purpose.  Whether you consider yourself someone who leads out loud, leads quietly from the sidelines, or is working toward finding their leadership voice this conference is for you!

Below you will find information about the conference and how to apply.  Attendance will be limited to 100 participants. Deadline to submit your application is Monday, September 26 at 1:00 pm EST.

Keynote Speaker

Caitie Whelan is the Founder/Noter-in-Chief of The Lightning Notes, a short daily post to help us move the world forward. It features great ideas and striking stories to remind us that we matter and that improving the world is our matter. Prior to The Lightning Notes, Caitie was a Senior Foreign Policy Advisor in Congress, co-founded a school in India with a community of lower caste musicians, and raised pigs in Italy. She is a graduate of Brown University - where she co-launched their Social Innovation Initiative and is a member of the Brown Women’s Leadership Council - and the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies, where she co-founded and chaired the Salt Alumni Board. She serves on the board of the Treehouse Institute and is a Truman Scholar from Maine.
