About the Botanic Gardens Database

The database has plants from the outdoor gardens and the greenhouse permanent collections. You can search by name or parts of a name, or by multiple characteristics; for example, Toxic plants that have Specialist Associates (such as specialized pollinators, herbivores or seed dispersers) and are Native. If you're looking for a characteristic that isn't listed, try it as a keyword, as it may be in the species description.
We are in the process of putting in the information on species characteristics, so advanced searching by characteristics may yield limited results for awhile. At this point we recommend a simple search by name or keyword.
