Kim McLeod, professor and chair of the Astronomy Department, and a team that included Annabelle '12, Mariam '13, Carolyn '14, and Sean (Professor McLeod’s six-year-old son), used the cameras on the 24-inch telescope at Wellesley College’s Whitin Observatory to capture a series of images of asteroid 2005 YU55 as it passed very close to Earth on November 9, 2011.
