Spanish major Kimberly Dozier ’87 lived here and became a writer too, but of a very different sort: a war correspondent in the Middle East. (She delivered Wellesley's 2009 Commencement address too.)

Did You Know? Lake House was originally a dormitory for College workers. It sits high on a hill overlooking the boathouse and west across Lake Waban, and has an extensive kitchen students can use. Lake House is one of Wellesley's "small halls," which include Dower House (38 residents), Casa Cervantes (Spanish speaking), La Maison Française (French speaking), Cedar House and Homestead for Davis Scholars (students who are more than 24 years old), and the Instead Feminist Vegetarian Cooperative.
