Convocation 2020

Wellesley celebrated the 2020-2021 academic year on September 2.

Wellesley marked the start of the academic year with its first-ever virtual convocation, held during community time on Wednesday, September 2, to celebrate the beginning of the year and to welcome the community back to Wellesley. Though we were not able to have an audience in person, community members were able to join in the virtual celebration on social media using #WellesleyConvocation and follow along with the digital program.

The community was addressed by President Paula Johnson, Provost and Lia Gelin Poorvu ’56 Dean of the College Andy Shennan, and student speakers College Government President Tatiana Ivy Moise ’21 and Chief Justice Hope D’Erasmo ’21.
