Generally speaking, its a transformative experience.

Take a tour, go to a class, eat (free!) lunch with a student, spend the night in a residence hall. And, of course, we’d love to see you at Spring Open Campus! Visit our beautiful 500-acre campus, situated 12 miles west of Boston. Below are some of the visiting options we offer admitted students in April.

Spring Open Campus

Monday and Tuesday, April 11 and 12, 2016; "Conversations on Diversity" Day: Sunday, April 10.
The entire Wellesley community supports Spring Open Campus and "Conversations on Diversity" Day and is eager to share the campus with you and your parents.  Getting to Spring Open Campus

Additional programs (see below) offered in April are as follows: Overnight Programs, Campus Tours, Information Sessions, and Class Visits. Please refer to the Admission Office Calendar for April for specific details.

April Alumnae Gatherings for Admitted Students

See if there is an alumnae gathering for admitted students in your area in the coming weeks. If so, we invite you and your parents to join us. It's always fun to meet alumnae, in part because they're still as excited about Wellesley as the day they graduated!

Other April Visit Programs

Overnight Hostess Program

To thoroughly experience Wellesley's residential life, we invited accepted students to make a reservation to spend the night at a Wellesley residence hall, hosted by a Wellesley student. You are welcome to stay for one night, Monday through Thursday, from Tuesday, March 29, through Thursday, April 28 (with a few exclusions; see our online calendar for details). To schedule an overnight visit, please call the Admission Office as soon as possible at (781) 283-2270. It is most helpful if you (rather than a parent) call because we'll ask about your academic and extracurricular interests. Appointments fill fast, and the earlier you book the more likely it is that we can match you with a student who shares your interests! We would appreciate one week's notice but can typically book an overnight with as little as two days' notice if there is availability.

Campus Tours

Student-guided campus tours are available to everyone. They generally last 60-75 minutes. An appointment is not required, but to speed up the check-in process, we strongly urge students to complete a Visitor Information Card at least 48 hours prior to their arrival. Please check the detailed Admission Office Calendar for our tour schedule while planning your trip. Please note there will be no regular tours on Monday, April 11 (Spring Open Campus), or Wednesday, April 27 (Ruhlman Conference, which visiting students are parents are invited to attend!).

Information Sessions

Senior Admission students or Admission staff will share with you stories about Wellesley and helpful application advice in scheduled information sessions, which generally last one hour. While these sessions are geared toward students beginning the application process, accepted students who are visiting Wellesley for the first time do typically appreciate the personal stories. Appointments are not accepted, but you should plan to arrive at the Admission Office at least 10 minutes before the session begins. Information sessions are available at 9 am and 1 pm most weekdays, Monday-Friday (April 1 - April 29, excluding April 11, 12, and 27). We will also offer information sessions three Saturdays in April: April 2, 16, and 23.

Please note the Admission Office is closed Saturday, April 11; Monday, April 18 (Patriot's Day/Marathon Monday; roads near campus will be closed), and Saturday, April 30.

Class Visits

Our professors are delighted to welcome accepted students to their classes. If you are interested in attending a class, please let the receptionist in the Admission Office know when you arrive for your visit. Class visits are available through April 29.
