Lori Tenser

Associate Dean for Academic Integration & Advising and Dean of the Class of 2023 (A - H)

Lori Tenser is the Associate Dean of Students for Academic Integration and Advising, and currently serves as dean of the class of 2023, with last names beginning with A through H. As Associate Dean, she provides direction and supervision for the staff and programs of the Offices of the Class Deans, including First-Year programs, WellesleyPlus, and the Davis Scholar program, as well as the Pforzheimer Learning and Teaching Center. Her responsibilities include the coordination of advising efforts across campus, and the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to integrate the academic and co-curricular lives of all students.  As Class Dean, she works directly with individual students as they pursue their Wellesley education.

Dean Tenser holds a B.A. in psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, an M.Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a Ph.D. in higher education from Boston College. She is also the parent of three college students and one small cockapoo named Gracie, and lives with her husband and family in Needham.
