Emmanuel Kamanzi
Mr. Emmanuel Kamanzi is a management professional with an interest in public health and health systems strengthening in resource limited-settings.

He currently serves as the Director of Campus Development at the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE), a Partners In Health (PIH) initiative in Rwanda. In this role, Mr. Kamanzi oversees an $8M project to build UGHE’s first permanent campus in Butaro in northern Rwanda. To do this, he leads a large, diverse team of contractors and public and private partners spanning various professional and geographic backgrounds.

Prior to joining UGHE, Mr. Kamanzi held several senior management positions with PIH in Rwanda and the United States. During his tenure at PIH, Mr. Kamanzi contributed to building Rwanda’s health system through his work with various Rwanda government partners. Notably, he has managed several health care delivery projects and programs that included the construction, outfitting and management of facilities like Butaro Hospital, Butaro Ambulatory Cancer Center, and Kirehe Hospital. 

Mr. Kamanzi holds an MBA from the Business School of Netherlands and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Rwanda. He has also successfully completed global health delivery and management courses at Harvard School of Public Health and Harvard Business School.
