Monica Byrne
Monica Byrne is a writer, playwright, and futurist.

She received her B.A. in Biological Chemistry from Wellesley College in 2003 and her M.S. in Geochemistry from MIT in 2005. She has performed twice at TED; her first novel, The Girl in the Road, received the James Tiptree Jr. Award; her play What Every Girl Should Know has been produced from Berkeley to Dublin. She is an advocate for survivors of #metoo and radical arts reform, and her work is supported entirely through micropatronage at Patreon.com.
