Susan Nazzaro
Susie Nazzaro is a Senior Program Officer at the Gates Foundation where her responsibilities include new product introduction, procurement strategy, pricing, market dynamics, and access to health products.

She has led product pricing, access, and introduction for the malaria PST for the past 10 years with a focus on medicines, diagnostics, and vector control tools; she also leads the market access and introduction program for the foundation’s maternal immunization strategy currently focused on RSV vaccine. She previously developed the foundation's strategy on procurement innovation, spearheading an effort to bring the tools of industrial economics to global health procurement practice. She represented the foundation at the Unitaid board from 2010-2016 and served as the senior advisor to the vice-chair of the board of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria from 2010-2012. Her previous experience includes work on product access on the HIV, TB, family planning, MNCH, and cervical cancer strategies. Prior to joining the foundation, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Madagascar, in the Office of the Chief Economist for the Africa Region at the World Bank, and as an economic researcher at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. She holds an M.Sc. in development economics from the London School of Economics, where she was a Susan Rappaport Knafel Fellow, and a B.A. from Wellesley College.
