Human Rights are Women’s Rights, and Women's Rights Are Human Rights

Lissa Muscatine, Writer, Bookstore Owner and Former Chief Speechwriter to Hillary Clinton, and Susan Bailey, Professor Emerita for Women’s and Gender Studies at Wellesley College, discuss their experience at the U.N. Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, China in 1995. The momentous occasion brought together women across the globe who were inspired to action by Hillary Clinton’s keynote speech which proclaimed, “Women’s Rights are Human Rights and Human Rights are Women’s Rights.”
