Ana Ortega ’22

Ana  Ortega
Ana is a senior studying Political Science and Education Studies.

During Fall 2021, she studied abroad in Oaxaca, Mexico studying migration, borders, and transnational communities. In the Summer of 2021, Ana worked as a legislative research fellow for local Los Angeles campaigns. She also conducted research on abolitionist organizations under the guidance of Professor Laura Grattan. Ana considers herself a proud first-generation Latina from South Central Los Angeles. In the future Ana hopes to work in education policy and advocating for victims and survivors of domestic violence.
