Christina Kurre
Christina is a junior majoring in Economics with a minor in Environmental Studies.

From Fall 2020 through Summer 2021, Christina interned with the U.S. State Department, Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs, working with and ultimately leading a team of interns who researched environmental defenders in various countries, culminating in presentations to an inter-agency working group focused on reducing violence against environmental defenders. Christina spent the fall of her junior year at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, studying economic policy in different countries and cities. During Summer 2020, Christina interned with the German NGO Entwicklungspolitische Netzwerk Sachsen (ENS), complementing her German courses at Wellesley. Upon graduation, Christina hopes to work on international policy identifying intersections between economics and environmental studies to help shape policy domestically and internationally, in order to protect vulnerable populations.
