Denisse Becerra
Denisse is a senior double majoring in Economics and Spanish.

During the summer of 2018, she worked as an intern for the Human Development Office at the United Nations Development Programme in San José, Costa Rica, where she supported a project focused on the promotion of social inclusion and the prevention of violence through reduction of poverty and inequality. She is fluent in Spanish and spent the spring semester of her junior year studying abroad at the University of Córdoba in Spain. She has served on the E-Board for Mezcla, Wellesley’s largest Latinx cultural organization, and is a member of the Spanish Majors Advisory Council as well as Counterpoint Magazine. Upon graduation, she hopes to work in policy making or for an international organization, focusing on issues surrounding immigration and socio-economic development.
