Elizabeth Ray
Elizabeth is a junior majoring in Russian and minoring in History.

Her coursework has developed her interest in the influence of arts and culture in Russian history and politics. Elizabeth spent the summer of 2022 working as a counselor at the Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan, where she helped young artists foster their passions for music, performance, and the visual arts. On campus, she is a resident assistant in Shafer Hall and shares her own love of performing as co-president of Dead Serious, Wellesley's only improv-comedy troupe. Elizabeth's academic interests are driven by her study of Russian, and her primary goal in the future is to progress from a working knowledge of the language to a greater level of proficiency. After graduation, she is interested in pursuing an advanced degree in Russian and working in translation or interpretation.
