Emerson Rogers ’22

Emerson Rogers
Emerson is a junior majoring in Economics and intending a second major in American Studies.

She is interested in the impacts of capitalism and government intervention on socioeconomic inequality, and how a global lens can be applied to examine these issues in the United States. Emerson has spent the last three summers as an intern with Panorama Global, a global problem solving nonprofit. There she primarily worked on global health consulting and on the Ascend Fund, a collaborative fund working to accelerate the pace of change towards gender parity in U.S. politics. During the summer of 2019, she also worked in Senator Maria Cantwell’s Seattle district office. Currently, Emerson continues some work for the Ascend Fund during the school year and is president of Wellesley’s rugby team. She previously worked on the Wellesley Fund Phonathon team. In the future, she hopes to work on economic policies, particularly those that focus on underserved populations.
