She spent the past summer conducting research on people’s understandings of technical terms in privacy policies its effects on privacy considerations. At Wellesley, she is a research student in the Security and Privacy Lab led by Dr. Ada Lerner and is writing a thesis on the implications of people’s perceptions of privacy and security issues. During the school year, she also participates in cyber policy competitions, which unites her interests from both majors. Jenny’s goal upon graduation is to pursue a PhD that allows her to continue interdisciplinary work and research in computer science and political science. She ultimately hopes to help bridge the gaps between technical and policy communities and contribute solutions to the global problems brought about by the digital paradigm.
