Loren Lock
Loren is a junior majoring in Women?s and Gender Studies with a concentration in Health and Society.

During the summer of 2014, she was a fellow with the CDC-sponsored Maternal Child Health Careers/Research Initiatives for Student Enhancement- Undergraduate Program (MCHC/RISE-UP) through which she interned with the Coordination of Rare Diseases at Sanford (CoRDS). While there, she explored the program’s potential to translate their website and surveys and developed public relations materials. Prior to that, Loren took a year away from Wellesley and traveled to Quetzaltenango, Guatemala to enhance her Spanish skills and work with a rural clinic and Habitat for Humanity Guatemala. On campus, Loren is a captain of the varsity crew team and a student leader. She can speak Spanish at an advanced level and has a working knowledge of Hindi/Urdu. Following graduation, Loren hopes to travel and work abroad before eventually pursuing a Master of Public Health degree and attending either nursing or medical school.
