Lucia Ortega
Lucia is a junior double majoring in Chemistry and Spanish.

She is passionate about social health and public education. At Wellesley, she conducts biochemistry research in Professor Nunez's lab. She works in the Wellesley College Science Center Stockroom. She is also part of Mezcla, the largest Latina organization on campus, and serves as an executive board member. For the past two summers she has conducted scientific research at Wellesley College and interned as a student teacher for CDF Freedom Schools, a literacy summer program. This upcoming summer she is interested in continuing scientific research abroad or interning in an organization that focuses on educational justice.
