Sabhyata Sedhain
Sabhyata is a junior majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Chinese Language and Culture.

This past summer she worked as a Davis Projects for Peace fellow, prototyping low-cost air filter devices to improve the respiratory health of school children in Nepal and leading a climate action training program aimed at equipping entrepreneurially minded students to take leadership in the climate movement. On campus, she is on the executive board of the Nordic Ski team, co-director of Chinatown-ESL, a PBHA program that helps adult immigrants develop English language proficiency, and vice president of (BC)^2, where she works to build a stronger sense of community within the biology and biochemistry departments. She is a native speaker of Nepali and Hindi, has working proficiency in Spanish, and is working towards fluency in Mandarin through her minor. Upon graduation, Sabhyata would like to continue conducting research in regenerative medicine, with an eye towards medical school soon after.
