Shivani Dayal
Shivani is a junior majoring in Neuroscience with a minor in Health and Society.

Shivani is particularly interested in the interaction between culture and health. In the summer of 2016, Shivani volunteered with hospice patients and worked as a consultant at N-of-One Therapeutics, where she supported efforts to introduce precision medicine into cancer treatments. Shivani has worked as a clinical assistant at a hospital in Spain and continues to volunteer at a rural hospital in India. Shivani spent the fall semester of her junior year in Copenhagen, Denmark; in addition to her studies there, she organized a Refugee Action Committee where she helped facilitate dialogue between American students and refugees in Denmark. On campus, Shivani works in a Neuroscience lab and is part of Wellesley’s Association of South Asian Cultures. She has working knowledge of Hindi and Urdu. Shivani’s goal upon graduation is to work with an international organization in the field of global health and eventually pursue a degree in medicine.
