Tazrean Hossain
Tazrean is a junior double majoring in Women's & Gender Studies and South Asia Studies.

She spent the fall of her junior year studying at SOAS University of London, where she took South Asia courses concentrated in politics and cultural studies as well as an intensive Bengali language course. Tazrean is also developing proficiency in Hindi, Urdu, and Spanish. In the summer of 2022, Tazrean worked at an immigration law firm based in NYC, where she supported immigrants across the South Asian diaspora seeking asylum in America and gained a working knowledge of Bangladeshi politics. She has also worked as a legislative intern at the Massachusetts State House, in the office of State Senator Julian Cyr. On campus, Tazrean serves as Co-President of the Bangladeshi Students Association and works as a Writing Tutor. She hopes to pursue law school after graduation and use her language skills to help clients from diverse backgrounds access the legal services they need.
