Wintersession 2010

The 2010 Wintersession Program focused on the role of women in shaping millennium development goals, acting as leading entrepreneurs and government agents, and setting the stage for a globally interconnected 21st century.

For our inaugural Albright Institute Wintersession, Madeleine K. Albright, U.S. Secreatary of State (1997-2001), joined us as our Distinguished Visiting Professor. A number of other esteemed guests shared their views and personal experiences with our fellows. During the first two weeks of Wintersession, the Albright Fellows attended classes with prominent speakers, including Wellesley faculty, alumnae practitioners, and thought leaders from outside organizations. The Fellows worked together in interdisciplinary groups on a variety of pressing international issues, which culminated in presentations to the Institute’s Distinguished Visiting Professor at the end of Wintersession.
