Wellesley BLUEprint 2020:

A virtual volunteer conference
 

Wednesday, October 14 from 7-9:30 pm EDT

Sunday, October 18 from 1-5 pm EDT

 

 

Wellesley BLUEprint 2020 is a virtual conference that celebrates and informs our alum volunteer leaders and will guide priorities for the year. The two-part remote gathering has been developed to give a complete picture of Wellesley today while focusing on planning and skill building for our volunteer leaders sharing common roles. Current volunteers have been invted to register and links for the sessions will be shared 24 hours in advance.

Connecting Alumnae to Wellesley Today
Hear updates from President Paula A. Johnson, Andrew Shennan, Provost and Lia Gelin Poorvu ’56 Dean of the College, Piper Orton, Vice President for Finance and Administration and Treasurer, and Debby Kuenstner ’80, Chief Investment Officer.

Join us to celebrate four inspiring alumnae who were nominated by their peers and selected by an alumnae committee for their outstanding leadership, service, and contributions to Wellesley.

1:30 - 2:30 pm

Leading Inclusive Alumnae Groups 
It is the responsibility of every alum leader to advance a culture
of diversity, equity and inclusion within the alumnae community. Alums from the Wellesley Racial Justice Initiative will lead this session. 

2:30 - 3:30 pm

Wellesley Students Today
Joy St. John
, Dean of Admission & Financial Aid, and Sheilah Shaw Horton, Vice President & Dean of Students, will share an update of Wellesley’s recruitment and admission process and what the Wellesley experience is like for students right now. 

3:30 - 4:30 pm

Role-Based Workshops

4:30 - 5:00 pm

Tea and Conversation: Breakout rooms by topic
We’ll conclude BLUEprint 2020 with topic-based rooms where you can connect on points of interest with one another. Bring your own tea, cocktail or mocktail and round out the virtual conference in the company of your peers.

 

A note about BLUEprint 2020: Special events, such as the Alumnae Achievement Awards, Wellesley College Athletics Hall of Fame induction, and student interaction through Career Education have been re-imagined for a virtual world, and are separate from the BLUEprint program this year.
