This project focuses on pipes in various Wellesley spaces. My goal with the work was to appreciate the beauty in utilitarian objects, to give them an importance they are not often afforded as we look past them in our everyday lives. I chose to photograph pipes in particular because they imply a sort of mobility, a transience – there is more than just a "here" in the world of these images, but a distinct "there" which is left to the viewer to imagine.
