Alexis (she/her) is so excited to be a part of the Career Education team as the Associate Director and Advisor for students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Public Health. She holds a B.S. in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Animal Biosciences from the University of Delaware and a M.S. in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut, where she defended her thesis on “The Effect of Probiotics on the Growth and Development of Ram Lambs.” Alexis is passionate about increasing all forms of diversity in STEM. As Assistant Director for the WiMSE (Women in Math, Science, and Engineering) Learning Community at the University of Connecticut, she provided career and academic advising, and created programs geared towards women pursuing a STEM degree. Alexis previously worked for a biopharmaceutical company, maintaining genetically engineered colonies of animals as a part of the drug development process. She is so excited to be working with students again, and hopes to inspire confidence in the students at Wellesley as they begin their career paths.
