Christopher De La Cerda rejoined Wellesley Career Education in 2023 as the Susan L. Wagner ’82 Director, Career Advising & Inclusive Excellence Initiatives, after previously serving as the Career Community Advisor for Health Professions, Public Health, & Life Sciences. He spent the intervening years with the Office of Recruitment Multicultural Affairs at Harvard Medical School. At HMS he supported URiM, LGBTQ+, and 1st generation students and pre-meds. He has also worked with other clinical and doctoral programs at the University of Virginia and the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Christopher is originally from Central California and earned his BA in Chicano Studies from UC Santa Barbara and his Masters in Education from the University of Virginia. A few little known facts: As one of six children he can sleep on planes, trains, and even under his desk if needed. Rumor has it he may have eaten a lifetime supply of raisins before starting middle school.
