Anna C. Everett ’16, Mediator, Health Care Division, Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General

I worked for two years as a bilingual (English and Spanish) mental health case manager, which was totally rewarding and totally sapped my emotional energy. This past February I learned of a job opening at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office – my dream job – and with the help of Emma Cutrufello and Wendy Friend and Dana Keep of Wellesley Career Services, I got through the 5-month application process and got the job! Wellesley gave me confidence, support, advice, interview practice, and guidance in how I define myself professionally. I’m so thankful for my time at Wellesley and the ongoing resources that Wellesley has provided after graduation.

Furthermore, there is such a wealth of alumnae support for one another. I don’t know if you are aware, but there are multiple Facebook groups – from Wellesley in the Workplace to Orchid and Sed Ministrare – where alumnae help each other through career problem, relationship struggles, and health concerns. Just recently, an alum voiced that they were having a panic attack at work, and we swarmed to their side, providing words of encouragement and ensuring that they  got the help they needed and got home safely.
