Urban Teachers: The Need and Impact of Black Men in Education
Wednesday, February 22nd 2023, 7:00 pm -
8:00 pm EST
With only 30% of our teachers identifying as men, Black men only take 2% percent of the teacher workforce.
Studies show that when students experience at least one Black teacher in the classroom, it positively impacts not only Black and Brown children, but all children. When students experience diverse representation in their lessons, books, AND teachers, we contribute to a more just and equitable society!
Join us on February 22, at 7pm - 8pm, as we discuss the importance, impact, and opportunities for Black men to lead in education.
