Career Education Suit Program

Is your wardrobe lacking the professional attire required to attend a conference, interview, or meeting? The Career Education Suit Program has quality suiting options for all gender identities in a full range of sizes. Students can choose from jackets, skirts, dresses, and pants. Suits may be borrowed for up to 7 days, with the date of return set upon check out.

Luce Scholars Program (seniors & graduates)

Supports one-year professional placements (along with language training) in Asia for those who have not had extensive experience in Asia. Eligible are US citizens or permanent residents who are graduating seniors, recent graduates, and professionals under the age of 32 -  or if older, no more than three years out from receiving bachelor’s degree [Davis Scholars, we're looking at you]. Direct application deadline typically in October.

    McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill (rising seniors & graduates)

    The McCall MacBain Scholarships seek to bring together exceptional students from around the world who strive to engage in positive change by taking on meaningful leadership roles. McCall MacBain Scholars connect with mentors and participate in an interdisciplinary leadership program while pursuing a fully funded master’s or professional degree at McGill University! (Campus deadline typically in August.)

They can help you build your experience and qualifications, help you explore a passion, and clarify a path forward. What would you do with a fellowship?

    Schwarzman Scholars Program (rising seniors & graduates)

    Supports leadership development & a special one-year Master’s program at Tsinghua University in Beijing, taught in English. Eligible are graduating seniors, current graduate and professional students, and recent graduates from any country and any major (knowledge of Mandarin is an asset but is not required). Official deadlines typically in May and September.

    Mitchell Scholarship (rising seniors & graduates)

    *As of March, 2024, the Mitchell Scholarship has paused the selection of new Scholars. There will be no new class selected in autumn 2024, but they hope in future to be able to re-open this award.

    Supports one year of study in any discipline at a university in Ireland. Eligible are graduating seniors and graduates who are US citizens between the ages of 18 and 30. Campus application deadline for seniors (who must seek institutional nomination) typically in August; graduates apply directly for the Mitchell but are very welcome to seek application advice from Wellesley's Fellowships office.

    Marshall Scholarship (rising seniors & graduates)

    Supports one or two years of study in any discipline at a university in the United Kingdom. Eligible are graduating seniors and recent gradiates who are US citizens. Campus application deadline for Wellesley's endorsement typically in August.

    Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program (seniors & graduates)

    Offers full scholarships for any graduate or professional degree offered at Stanford University, plus leadership development, aimed at preparing leaders to find creative solutions for the world's greatest problems. Eligible are graduating seniors and recent graduates, from any country. Apply to the Knight-Hennessy by their deadline in early October, and to the Stanford degree program of your choice by the deadline for that program.

    Mary Elvira Stevens Traveling Fellowship (graduates)

    Established by the will of Alice Alvira Stevens, Class of 1891, the Mary Elvira Stevens Traveling Fellowship is available to a Wellesley graduate who is at least 25 years of age in the year of application and supports up to a full year of purposeful travel outside the United States. We invite proposals that will inspire reflection and growth and lead to more fulfilling and productive personal and professional lives. Campus application deadline typically in the spring.

    Yenching Academy Scholarship at Peking University (seniors & graduates)

    The Yenching Academy of Peking University builds bridges between China and the rest of the world through an interdisciplinary master’s program in China Studies for outstanding graduates from all over the globe. This initiative brings together young people who show promise to lead and innovate in their fields in an intensive learning environment where they can explore China and its role in the world — past, present, and future. The Academy aims to thereby shape a new generation of global citizens with a nuanced understanding of China and its role in the world.

    Wellesley is an official Partner Institution for the Yenching Academy: campus deadline typically in November.

    Wellesley College Graduate Fellowships (WCGF—seniors & graduates)

    Wellesley College offers a number of fellowships and scholarships for graduate study or research open to Wellesley seniors and graduates. Two awards are open to women graduates of any American institution (the Schimke and the Shackford). Awards are usually made to applicants currently enrolled in or applying to graduate/professional school for the following academic year; there is a single common application process for most of these awards, and the campus deadline is typically in January.

    Rhodes Scholarship (rising seniors & graduates)

    Did you know that citizens of any country are now eligible to apply for the Rhodes Scholarships, for graduate study at the University of Oxford? Campus deadline for Wellesley applicants for Global Rhodes is typically in early June and for the Canadian and US Rhodes typically in late August. Application deadlines for other Rhodes competitions may fall even earlier (see their website, and Career Education deadline listings). All prospective Wellesley Rhodes applicants are encouraged to seek advice from Kate Dailinger, of Wellesley's Career Education, and learn more through this resource page.

    Projects for Peace Alumni Award (graduates)

    Projects for Peace is a global program that partners with educational institutions to identify and support young peacebuilders and changemakers. Each year, the Projects for Peace Alumni Award will award up to $50,000 to support the continuing peacebuilding efforts of a past Projects for Peace grantee. The Award is made possible through the Kathryn Wasserman Davis Collaborative in Conflict Transformation at Middlebury.  Campus application deadline typically in January.

    Luce Scholars Program - expected direct application deadline

    Eligible: seniors and graduates in any field who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, under the age of 32 or no more than three years out from receiving bachelor’s degree.

    Travel, Postgraduate

    The Luce Scholars Program was launched by the Henry Luce Foundation in 1974 to enhance the understanding of Asia among potential leaders in American society. The program provides stipends, language training, and individualized professional placement in Asia for 15-18 Luce Scholars each year. The program is unique among American-Asian exchanges in that it is intended for young leaders who have had limited experience of Asia and who might not otherwise have an opportunity in the normal course of their careers to come to know...

    Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans - expected direct application deadline

    Eligible: graduating seniors and graduates whose birth parents were born outside of the US as non-US citizens. You might have been born in the US or be a naturalized citizen, adopted from abroad, a Green Card holder, granted asylum or refugee status in the US, or have graduated from high school & college in the US (including current and past DACA recipients). You must be 30 year old or younger as of the application deadline and planning to be enrolled in graduate school full-time in the 2024-2025 academic year.
