Danielle Vellucci

Instructor in Chemistry Laboratory

Cultivates excitement for chemistry and brings concepts from class to life in the teaching laboratory.

I am interested in incorporating greener experiments into the organic laboratory curriculum, through which students can engage in experimental design and advanced data analysis. I would like to focus on the implementation of experiments which highlight the importance of organic molecules in biochemical systems.

The best part of my work as an ISL is spending with students as they learn new techniques. I am particularly focused on creating an inclusive and supportive environment for students as they begin their study of organic chemistry.

I have been an active member of the Iota Sigma Pi National Honor Society since graduate school. My passion for teaching developed through outreach opportunities supported by ISP, and as a current member I appreciate being able to help students take advantage of fellowships and mentoring opportunities.

Outside of the lab, I enjoy cooking and jogging along the many beautiful waterfront areas outside of Boston!
