Curatorial Tour with Nicole Berlin

Excavating Antioch: The Archaeology of an Ancient City

Time 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Where Davis Museum Lobby

Join Nicole Berlin, Associate Curator of Collections, for a tour of Excavating Antioch: The Archaeology of an Ancient City. We will explore the ancient city of Antioch (modern Antakya, Türkiye) and the 1930s excavations that dispersed its material culture across the world. Through artifacts and archival materials, the tour examines daily life in antiquity alongside the colonial systems that shaped what was preserved. It invites participants to consider how histories are constructed and how museums can steward cultural heritage more responsibly today.
