About Friends of Art

Established in 1965, and now celebrating 50 extraordinary years of giving, Friends of Art raises over $325,000 annually to provide crucial unrestricted, current-use funds to support the Davis. Friends of Art funds have a direct impact on daily operations at the Davis, and underwrite acquisitions, exhibitions, programs, internships, and student opportunities that are unique to Wellesley. Members of Friends of art enjoy invitations to exclusive events, lectures, symposia, and other arts programming. In addition, provided access to remarkable Wellesley women and friends of the Davis.
"The Davis offered tremendous opportunities for me while I was at Wellesley. My work-study position led me to my major, art history, and the summer curatorial internship showed me a different facet of the museum. Both were paid positions. As much as I loved the work, I couldn't have afforded to volunteer. Giving back to the Davis through Friends of Art is the least I can do to help ensure that other students have these opportunities as well." - Rikki Tracy ‘07
