Why should I join Friends of Art?
Friends of Art is an extraordinary legacy - more than 50 years of generous giving in support of the arts at Wellesley College. Through the current-use funds that Friends of Art raises annually, the Davis is able to provide exceptional exhibitions, expand its permanent collection through acquisitions, provide unique opportunities to Wellesley students, and offer arts programming to the College and greater community.
What are the benefits since the Davis Museum is free?
The funds raised through annual Friends of Art memberships greatly impact the Davis. In return, members receive a variety of benefits based on their level, such as reciprocal museum admission, travel opportunities, invitations to local Friends of Art chapter events, and much more! What are the Friends of Art Regional Chapters?
In addition to the exhibitions, events, and programs the Davis provides, members of Friends of Art are members of their respective Regional chapter that plan additional tours, lectures, events, etc. Friends of Art has chapters in Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. Find your Regional Chair.
How do I hear about events in my Region?
Friends of Art sends our monthly e-newsletters with information about upcoming activities across the United States. Additionally, Regional Chapters send out their own e-newsletters with additional information. Find your Regional Chair or join Friends of Art.
What are the benefits if I do not live in a city with a Regional chapter or near the Davis?
Friends of Art is continually trying to expand its footprint domestically and internationally. Staff from the Davis often travels to cities outside of our Regional Chapters to host events, and plan programs around our exhibitions. Friends of Art members are able to stay connected to the opportunities provided by the Davis on and off campus.
Do I receive class or campaign credit?
