Davis Peace Project & Hummingbird Hunt

Charming, an installation created by artist Kathryn Sjursen is currently on view in the Davis lobby. Inspired by the commitment of Kathryn Wasserman Davis ’28 to peace, justice, and art, the Davis Peace Project invites the community to celebrate peace and to pass it on. Through folding the elegant origami hummingbirds, symbols of tenacity and the power of small efforts to make big change, we can share the power of transformation in small steps.

As part of the Davis Peace Project: Charming, 13 hummingbirds moved into the Davis Museum. Have you noticed them in the Davis recently? Help us find all 13 of them and take photos of their new habitats!

The Davis Peace Project has been generously supported by the Shelby Cullom Davis Charitable Fund.
