Accessibility

The Davis is committed to making our museum and programs accessible to all audiences.

Building access: The Davis, Collins Café, and Collins Cinema are wheelchair accessible. One manual wheelchair is available for free, without reservations; please inquire at the Front Desk. Public restrooms in the Museum and Café are accessible.

While some accessible parking is located adjacent to the museum, guests may be dropped off in the Davis Plaza area adjacent to the building. More accessible parking is available at the Davis Parking Facility, which is a 2 to 3 minute traverse on a paved path from the parking garage to the museum. While the front door is closest to a set of stairs, guests who prefer ramp access can travel adjacent to the building where there are sidewalks on either side of the buildings. Additional questions about accessibility can be answered by calling the Museum's main number 781-283-2064.

Other accommodations may be available if requested in advance. Please contact accessibility@Wellesley.edu or call 781-283-1300 for more information.

Program access: We encourage you to contact us about the following guided tour options, available for free with two weeks advance notice:

For visitors with hearing loss: American Sign Language interpreted tours of the permanent collections and special exhibitions (subject to interpreter availability).

For visitors with memory loss: the Davis is proud to announce Making Memories: Accessible Art Program for Adults Living with Alzheimer’s and Other Dementias. Making Memories is an accessible arts program for adults living with early Alzheimer’s and other dementias and their care partners for a guided exploration of our permanent collections with specially trained museum staff and Student Guides. This free program offers opportunities to enjoy conversation, works of art, and new experiences at the Davis. Participation is free with advance registration, and private groups are encouraged to book a custom program. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required.
