Group Visits

The Davis Museum at Wellesley College offers guided tours during weekday open hours, Tuesday through Friday from 11 AM to 5 PM for groups of 5 or more people. Our specially-trained Student Guides are available to engage visitors with the Davis’s distinctive permanent collections and special temporary exhibitions through exciting dialogue-based experiences. Admission is free, and we welcome audiences of all ages and interests from the Wellesley College campus and beyond.

School Groups: Please plan visits to the Davis in advance by connecting with Arthurina Fears, Manager of Museum Education and Programs, and consider applying for our School Bus Subsidy, generously funded by the Palley Endowment Fund for Davis Museum Outreach Programs. Applications are considered on a rolling basis, and awards are based on fund availability.  Upon acceptance, teachers must schedule the bus for their visit, and the Davis Museum will reimburse up the school to $500 of the final cost.

Tours are customized according to interest area and cover either special exhibitions or the permanent collections galleries.  To schedule your visit, please use the registration form below or to request more information, please e-mail Arthurina Fears at or call 781.283.3045.

Self-Guided Tours

If a guided tour is unavailable, groups larger than 5 may choose to visit the galleries on their own. Outside tour leaders and guides may not lead groups through the Davis Museum with the exception of college classes lead by credentialed faculty.  All self-guided groups will be met by the Manager of Museum Education and Programs for a brief orientation, followed by an opportunity to visit the museum galleries.

Self-guided groups larger than 5 must register using the reservation form below. All reservations must be finalized at least two weeks prior to the date of the group visit. We recommend that reservations be made as far in advance as possible as we are mindful of the number of groups in the galleries. Groups that arrive without a reservation are not eligible for group admission discounts and may be turned away.

Focus on Accessibility
The Davis is committed to making our museum and programs accessible to all audiences.  We encourage you to contact us about the following guided tour options, available for free with two weeks advance notice:
American Sign Language interpreted tours of the permanent collections and special exhibitions (subject to interpreter availability).
Tactile tours or verbal description tours of the permanent collections.
To book your customized tour, please contact Arthurina Fears, Manager of Museum Education and Programs, at or call 781.283.3045.
