Visitor Guidelines

Welcome to the Davis Museum. To help us protect the artworks on view and to ensure an enjoyable experience for all our visitors, please observe the following guidelines:

• Please do not touch the art. Keep a safe distance of 12" away from artworks, exhibition cases, and platforms.

• Food and drink are not permitted within the galleries.

• Smoking and e-cigarettes are not allowed anywhere in the building.

• Shirts and shoes are required in the Museum. Backpacks and bags larger than 11" x 15" must be checked, along with umbrellas and wet outerwear. The Davis Museum is not responsible for lost or stolen property.

• Photography, without flash, is permitted for personal, non-commercial use except where otherwise indicated. Tripods, selfie sticks, lighting, and other professional equipment may not be used at any time.

• Please use only pencil in the galleries for sketching or taking notes. Ink pens, markers, and other media are not permitted.

• The Davis is wheelchair accessible and two manual wheelchairs are available for free, without reservations. Please see the Front Desk for assistance.

• Strollers are welcome in the galleries, and adults must accompany children at all times. Running and disruptive behavior are not permitted.

• Pets are not allowed in the Museum, with the exception of service animals as defined by state and/or federal regulations.

• As a courtesy to other visitors, please silence your cell phone and take calls in the lobby or outside of the Museum.

• Free public WiFi access is available by connecting to Wellesley Guest. The Davis app can be downloaded at app cuseum.com/davis.

• For further assistance, please inquire at the Front Desk or ask one of the friendly Student Visitor Assistants you will find in the galleries.
