Artist's Statement

Right now, we receive news and information at a rate faster than we can process. We build narratives from the relationships between that deluge of information and our own backgrounds, experiences and beliefs.

The content of my work springs from the everyday — both immediate, like the continuously updating news cycle and weather forecasts, and gradual, like the information that is revealed by sifting through archived documents and scientific data. It is an archive of my experience of this current moment, an iterative practice of recording, scanning, altering, accumulating and distributing that manifests in prints and large-scale installations. The inherent qualities of my imagery — iteration, repetition, and layering — galvanize presence in our surroundings and reflection on our histories for both maker and viewer.
