Why Major in East Asian Languages and Cultures?
The East Asian Languages and Cultures (EALC) major is offered by the EALC Department. All current students (Class of '22 onwards) must declare majoring in EALC with a specific track in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean. The EALC Department also offers a language-only minor (i.e., Chinese Language and Culture, Japanese Language and Culture, or Korean Language and Culture).
