Health Service

Wellesley College Health Service is an outpatient clinic located next to the Science Center in the Simpson Building. During Clinic hours, physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses provide primary medical and gynecologic care to enrolled students, regardless of insurance. There is a small on-site laboratory where a variety of lab tests may be performed. When indicated, consultations with specialist are available both locally and in Boston. Emphasis on education and preventive measures to increase wellness and promote healthful lifestyles is an integral part of our philosophy. Stone Center Counseling Service

The Counseling Service is a helpful resource for students interested in confidential individual or group counseling sessions. Whether you are seeking support dealing with personal matters affecting your daily life or hope to find a basic sense of purpose or direction, the Counseling Service can help you access the resources you need. The staff of licensed clinical professionals includes psychologists, social workers, a psychiatrist, and a clinical nurse practitioner, and offers support as you navigate the developmental challenges that may affect your academic performance. Many of these services are offered without charge, and professional confidentiality is maintained at all times in accordance with the law. Physical Education, Recreation, and Athletics

Physical activity can contribute to a balanced lifestyle and enhance your overall well-being. Through the Department of Physical Education, Recreation, and Athletics (PERA) you can participate in physical education classes, varsity, club and intramural sports, and recreational activities such as aerobics, swimming, weight training, and many others. The Nannerl O. Keohane Sports Center is home to Wellesley’s 14 varsity sports (basketball, crew, cross country, fencing, field hockey, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, squash, swimming and diving, tennis, track, and volleyball) as well as cardio and weight equipment. You also have access to our dance studios, golf course, weight rooms, racquet courts, pool, and recreation fields.
