Experience the rich and captivating sound of the rare trio of oboe, French horn, and piano in this special Midday Muse.
Faculty artists Kyoko Hida-Battaglia (oboe) and Eliko Akahori (piano) are joined by guest artist Jacky Ho-Yin Li (French horn) for a Midday Muse concert that celebrates the beauty, warmth, and expressive range of this distinctive chamber ensemble.
The concert opens with Heinrich von Herzogenberg's Trio, Op. 61, a work that blends dynamic interplay among the instruments with refined neoclassical influences within the Romantic tradition. The program concludes with Carl Reinecke's beloved Trio in A minor, Op. 188, an elegant, lyrical, and deeply expressive masterpiece that beautifully highlights the warmth and intimacy of this unique chamber ensemble.
