The class of 1998 held its commencement exercises —Wellesley's 120th—on May 29, 1998.

Addressing the graduates, their friends and families, and the Wellesley community were Sarah R. Smith, student speaker; Pamela A. Melroy '83, astronaut and commencement address speaker; and Wellesley College President Diana Chapman Walsh.
