Step inside Emily Dickinson’s living room in this immersive concert experience featuring all-21st-century musical settings of her poetry. Surrounded by enlarged manuscripts, family portraits, and period-inspired décor, audiences are drawn into an intimate conversation between Dickinson and her friend T.W. Higginson, exploring war, fame, love, solitude, and nature. Performed by GRAMMY Award-winning artists, Modern Dickinson reimagines Dickinson’s words through a contemporary musical lens in an 85-minute, fourth wall-breaking performance acclaimed as one of Austin’s “Best Arts Events.”
